Crazy weather...but just perfect regardless for any activities outside...and painting in the studio...or your patio at home!

This month is already going too fast!

Santa will be here before we know it...and I am busy coming up with some new decoration and gifts to make at this year's workshop.

A Note from Laurie As I sit here writing to you today, my heart is so full...and if I'm being completely honest, a little heavy, too. This is our final weekend having our youngest son, Kaeden, at home before he flies out on Tuesday for Air Force basic training in San Antonio. His bedroom is filled with storage containers as he packs up his belongings, officially preparing to leave the nest. He is planning on serving six years...maybe longer...watching him pack makes it all feel so official. I’ll be honest...it is super hard to let him go. We want to keep him right here, but at the same time, we couldn't be prouder of the young man he has become. He has been such a wonderful student, athlete, and hard worker. Just the other day, I was helping him get his graduation thank-you notes ready to mail...seeing the genuine respect and heart he has for others reminded me just how bright his future is. We know God has incredible plans for his life, and we can’t wait to see God work in his life as he launches out into the world. On the other hand, Kevin and I are stepping into a whole new chapter ourselves! We’ve been married almost 20 years...we had seven kids from the day we got married, with Kaeden arriving a year later to make eight! Because we raised eight kids together right from the start, we never had that "just the two of us" time at the beginning of our marriage. We kind of did things backwards! So as Kaeden spreads his wings, Kevin and I are finally stepping into our empty-nester phase...our own little honeymoon season, full of gratitude for everything we’ve built and excited for what’s ahead. Thank you all for being such a sweet, supportive community...I’d love it if you’d keep Kaeden in your thoughts and prayers as he begins this new journey! With much love and paint!
