Hello Reader,

Finally...it is feeling like fall!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I am sitting out in the studio right now with the doors wide open, listening to the breeze and the birds, and it finally feels like autumn outside. I even had to grab a sweatshirt today!

It’s funny...the trees outside are still full of green leaves, but open-window season is definitely here, and it is my absolute favorite time to paint.

Whether you're down the street and ready to join us at an easel in the studio, or painting with me from afar, we have so much goodness happening this month!

Our October in-studio class lineup is packed with brand-new fall paintings (starting with our Boot Full of Leaves next Thursday!), and for our online family, doors to the 🎨 heART Club are officially open with a special promo running through Monday night.

Scroll down to check out all the upcoming classes, grab the 🎨 heART Club deal, and read my quiet note at the bottom!

A Note from Laurie Sometimes, if I'm being completely honest, running a business can feel exhausting. Having started Pieces of My Art back in 2011, there are days when technical difficulties pop up...like during our Paint-Away this past week, when my overhead camera completely froze and I had a brief moment of total panic!...or times when I wonder: Is what I'm doing really making a difference? Am I giving enough? And then, right when I need it most, God places a gentle reminder in my path to keep going. In response to the note I shared in last week's email about finding peace at the easel during heavy days, I received the sweetest email from a painter named Debby. With her permission, I wanted to share a piece of it with you today: "Laurie, your words this week of heaviness resonate with me. The heaviness of loss sometimes is overwhelming and to sit in my paint room with brush in hand is so very helpful. The calmness, the quiet space, the soothing strokes as the brush moves... I started a widows group at my church and October 24th we will have our 2nd paint party, these ladies love it. God has been so good in this season. I spend time almost every evening, even if for just a few minutes to sit and paint. Thank you for your testimony today, Debby" Reading her words brought tears to my eyes. To know that the quiet moments we share at the easel reach out into the world...even helping bring comfort and connection to a group of widows...reminds me why I started this whole journey 15 years ago. Encouragement is such a powerful gift. If you've ever wondered whether your small acts, your creative time, or your gentle words matter...they do. "Anxious fear brings depression, but a life-giving word of encouragement can do wonders to restore joy to the heart." Proverbs 12:25 TPT Thank you, Debby, and thank each of you for letting me be a small part of your creative journey. You keep me going more than you know! Have a peaceful week, and I’ll see you in the studio soon. With much love and paint!
